Black Panther is making big inroads into the pop-culture and inspiring various amazing as well as out of the box responses from fans. Apart from Wakanda theme fashion shows, fan art and the typical debates about the position of MCU, there is another thing that the fans are keen to see: Ulysses Klaue’s mixtape!
Andy Serkis was a scene stealer in the movie, in particular during that South Korea chase sequence, where a banter between him and his potential Vibranium buyer Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) turned into a funny reference to Klaue (with his huge group of thugs) resembling a rapper. In a scene which is tough to differentiate between real and fake, Klaue offered a Soundcloud link to a mixtape created by him for Ross to check out. It wasn’t surprising that Ross instantly declined the offer.
This brief and hilarious banter between the two Hobbit stars has now gathered steam on its own and has become a popular social media trending topic. Fans are asking for an actual Klaue mixtape.
And since we have reached the same concluding note: there is only one chart-topping rapper who would be a great option for the Klaue mixtape.
It might actually turn out to be a good idea for Marvel Studios to go ahead and release a mixtape! The Black Panther concept album by Kendrick Lamar is already ruling the charts, and if planned well, the Klaue mixtape might be a rewarding follow-up.
Black Panther is now running in theaters, and it is going to be followed by Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th, Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6th, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019, Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
