The Belmont clan’s saga to battle Dracula will continue for a second season.
Fans of Netflix’s Castlevania were thrilled to learn that Netflix has given the go-ahead for the show’s second season.
Producer Adi Shankar, previously hinted that the show’s second season was a done deal, but Netflix has officially confirmed the show’s renewal and that Castlevania’s second season will have eight episodes. This is welcome news considering the show’s first season only had four episodes.
The principle voice cast of Graham McTavish, Richard Armitage, James Callis, and Alejandra Reynos of the show’s first season will reprise their respective roles for Castlevania season two.
Writer Warren Ellis also confirmed that Castlevania’s second season would premiere in the summer.
It might be awhile before we hear any official plot details for the show’s second season. Given the events that transpired during the final episode of the first season, it looks like the upcoming episodes will pick up pretty much from where it left off.
With the recently announced Assassin’s Creed anime which will also release on Netflix, there is no word on whether this will impact the production of Castlevania’s next season.
