A New Infinity War Trailer May Be Coming Our Way

A second official trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War is expected to release on Good Morning America. As of now Black Panther continues to dominate the box office charts this week and looks most likely to continue in the weeks to come. The ensemble superhero movie is a couple of months away from debuting. Dubbed “the culminating narrative of the franchise thus far,” the movie sees all our favorite Marvel superheroes banded together as they gear up for their biggest fight yet against gargantuan super villain Thanos.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Infinity War sets the stage for the epic conclusion of the 22-movie arc that MCU has been showcasing since Iron Man in 2008. However, despite all the hype, the details of the upcoming Avengers movie are still quite scarce. It is determined that it is inspired by ’90s heist films, the heroes race against Thanos to collect all six Infinity Gems.

The rumor comes from Reddit user Rman823 pointing out scheduled appearances by Paul Bettany (Vision), Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) on the Good Morning America show next Tuesday on February 27th. It’s presumed that they will present the latest trailer for the movie, similar to the first official preview released last year.

UPDATE: Marvel Studios News has now been informed by Walt Disney Studios that the aforementioned Infinity War stars trailer will not premiere on GMA next week. However, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of debuting a new clip or unreleased footage from the film.

Should this be the case, all favorite characters from that film will be back again on the big screen, similar to how Marvel Studios usually preview their final trailers for their summer blockbusters. In fact, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 final promo clip was released on February 28 last year, so a new Avengers preview shown on the 27th is certainly possible. Not that anyone’s complaining especially since fans waited for a rather long time for the release of the first trailer.

Marvel is keen to promote the movie as early as possible and had even roped in Stan to debut the first trailer on the show back in November. Whether it is to foreshadow his bigger role in the MCU in the future or not is anybody’s guess. The comic books have already laid the foundation for him to pick up the Captain America mantle if Steve Rogers dies or if Chris Evans no longer wants it. In any case, it may not be long until Marvel brings out their big guns like Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Robert Downey, Jr. to promote the movie.
